Having your link on digitalpoint? Bad?

Ive seen this alot. Does having your link in DP hurt your site?

 

I have never seen any evidence of this, but I don't post mine here because you never know who is looking, be it google or a competitor of mine.

 

Yep, I would find it pretty hard to be my brutally honest self here if my sites were linked in my .sig. I've learned long ago that there are just too many petty troublemakers out there.

 

I always go up in the Serps when i've my link at my sig.

 

Technically there is no problem to link your own signature to your website

 

Has anyone prove this theory?

I myself feel that DP helps site to be indexed. It's good.

 

Why would it be bad? It's not like there's lifeless hackers on the loose in DP looking for sites through signatures to DDOS!? Or is there?...

 

Links here in DP helps my site indexed frequently by spiders.

 

Really this one is very stupid thread.
What others thinking i never care, i got benefited from DP links.
Every link checker tools shows dp links even Google itself shows these DP links in link command,
than why i should not post here my own links in signature.

If DP links will not have any value than DP won't have these much amount of members, threads and post.

Why would it hurt your site? instead Links from DP will benefit your site a lot... that's the reason why there are many members keep on posting in DP..

 

no way. just take a look around the BST section where there are lot of sig links being sold, some for crazy amount also. there would not be that many sig link sale thread if it was hurting your SERP

no problem in signature links

 

I haven't heard any site gets hurt by having link in any forum. But it can be.. if your're such a bad commenter or spamming too much of your links as part of your post. Other people may get offended and spreading the bad remarks about you in the community.

Its good but dont push it too much. Dont expect any PR juice but it will help you in serps

 

It's a backlink, google aren't going to penalize DP, if anything a link from such a high quality website is a good thing. In personal experience I haven't seen any good or bad effects.
