I'm using the beta right now. It's got some really cool effect but from what I've seen the image quality could be better but it's good. A thumbnail of my site is 9 months old. While if you searching for legit pages, it makes it really easy to find the good pages vs the adsense farms. Funny thing though it's hard to find what your looking for. With a white page google the text is easy to read and find what you need, but with this you have to search through tons of different colors and layouts to find what you want.
Yep the image looks low quality because of bad resizing, also the shadow is not that good. Wicked great site, I still say.
It seems SearchMe is currently handing out beta accounts to anyone who signs up now. Says they have a little over 900 spots left. I don't know if they've always let anyone register but I got an account. Seems awesome so far.
hey, this look cool but people love simplicity so I think Google will still be on the top. Anyway I wonder how could searchMe gives its space ads to advertisers? Google gives three sponsored links above natural listings, how about this? I think searchMe is cool enough but the background should be white, that's much better for search engine. And searchMe is still pretty slow as well, looking forward for the full version. One more, the algorithm to rank websites in searchMe is still much weaker than Google as well. I can see that websites which never updated got the first ranks for some competitive keywords.
The only way I would use another search engine is if there search terms where more relevant to my search term than Google was.

Its really nice and stuff, yet it a bit longer for the pages to load. I am still going to stick with google, yet you should also add an image based one as well, that would be even better.
Completely agree. Still, SearchMe is wicked. Awesome search engine. Don't know about the functionality though...I cheer for them. Maybe in a few years we will finally see a google competitor. Although, loading times will be a very big issue. Until then, google is my homepage.
The average searchers are not scientists though, I think it will all depend on how well SearchMe is going to market.
