I have a site about 2 years old. I just found that when I search for the domain name in Yahoo, there is no description and cache of my site. Is it a penalty of some kind?
Can you post the URL? Maybe your site has no meta description or the page is consist of full flash content.
Have PM you the url since I do not want to disclose the site. In fact, I have another site which use totally the same treatment as this one. But it is totally OK. And as far as I remember, it was indexed in Yahoo in the past with the cache. So I am not really sure what is happening. Thanks for you help anyway.
Yahoo! Really su*ks!!! I have contacted the search support with a hope to solve the problem then they send me the following We like to provide you with fast, efficient support. And the best way to get straight to your issue (and to get it resolved!) is to start from a topic in Yahoo! Mail Help that's similar to the problem you're experiencing. So, please take a moment to browse Yahoo! Mail Help for a question like yours: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/ It is totally nonsense and irrelevant. Why I need to look at the Yahoo Mail help when my problem is about Yahoo search!!!
PM sent to you. In fact, I start suspecting that my site cannot pass a manual check performed by Yahoo! Though it cannot be sure.
I am quite sure that there is nothing wrong with the meta tags. It used to rank quite ok in Yahoo. It seems to me that it dropped recently with the problem I described in the original post.
