What is the best practice for the Title of a web page? On my site, I have prefixed most of my pages with:

    “Set Up Your Wireless Router………..”

I’m wondering if Google doesn’t like this repetition of this Title name? Should the title name always be unique?

Why I ask is that I’ve only got around 37 pages in my web site. Last week Google had indexed around 22 pages, now it has gone down to 14 pages. Could this be because I have similar Titles?

    Cheers.
    Andy

    Thanks.
But is it a good idea to have the same words in the title on every page of a website?

No, I'm using wordpress and I added a little code to put a custom title for the Home page for the rest of the pages it's dynamic <title>Website.com - Category/Post title</title>

No the title should describe the content on that web page so your title should vary from one page to the other.

It would be better for you to use your best targeted keywords related to every page.

You can repeat your targeted keywords on title tag as per the content of the website.
You should be wise while choosing a title, which match the content of the web page.
