Dollar Is Dropping Like a Sack of Potatoes - Protect Your Savings w/ Silver and Gold

Since the dollar has been in shambles for a while I have been buying silver to hedge against it. 4 months ago I paid $17 for an ounce, now it looks like I will be paying about $19 or so.

It feels shitty buying when prices are high, but I guess better safe than sorry. If the dollar really bottoms out, people are going to be lighting their fires with it.

Is anyone else protecting their savings with gold or silver investments?

stay away from e-gold. I have heard some scary things about them. If you are going to invest in gold. Buy it physically. Don't throw it into an online account. You can buy gold on ebay, and bullion dealer websites.

Its sad to see gold/silver rising so rapidly. As those things rise, our economy goes down.

Never use e-currency to park your gold or silver investment! Instead buy the precious metals physically.

I've been advising gold and especially silver since 2001. Only few have listened...

Buy silver, guys. I'm not making a buck with this post. I just hope one of you will decide to make that wise decision now that you still can.
    Bad times ahead... unavoidably.

Yes I have been in Mexico for the past year, I buy 1oz Libertads. They are available at a major bank here called Banamex. For some reason they won't sell these coins to you if you aren't a mexican citizen, so I have to get my girlfriend to buy them for me.

You've got a good idea to start accepting payments in other currencies etc...
But how to start investing in other currencies and precious metals?

For one, I know that copper is more valuable than gold and silver - how to invest though?

im not saying it can't happen. All im saying is that if our market does crash to shit (even if it did we would just start all over again like after the depression). But we are like the 2nd largest exporter right now, china just over took us and we export a lot of stuff. So if we crashed chances of other countries besides china growing to the top will be halted if not slowly decline as well. The bad thing about our world now in terms of money and market is that if someone like china or USA totally tanked then the whole world would feel it. and countries like India, and all other rising third world countries will basically be halted. I know a large portion of India's tech industry has big ties with the USA. And a lot of jobs in India Come from the USA.

True killafawk.. Our economies are very interconnected.

    Copper ??? I don't know about that.

Silver is more common and is easier to trade. Gold is really expensive, go for silver.

The only reason this is happening is because people like you all are playing "inflation" plays.
