Lastly - one would benefit from on-going submissions, however, when I say on-going I mean to communicate once every six to eight weeks (about once every 2 months). The site I plan on promoting is brand new, and hasn't been submitted anywhere. It is linked to several others sites but hasn't been submitted to any directorys or the like.
Consider this an experiment. We'll see what this service can do. If it goes from literally, zero to hero then the creator of this script will be a rich person.. Whaddya think everyone?

To answer your question, If your website is brand new, it will pose several unique problems - namely the sand box. Many of the major search engines require a domain to be in existence for up to six months prior to its submittal into their databases. Another DP member had asked how long it would take to see results in a prior thread, and I have copied my answer below. There are no "miracle" - however, there are steps that one may take to aid themselves in both receiving increased traffic and dramatically lessening the time it would take to derive the necessary back links to increase the PR higher and achieve the desired results in the SERPS. Wow!

What can I say - for once I'm speechless.

I just arrived home after being away for 24 hours and my inbox was packed with hundreds of emails asking for confirmation and even a few emails actually confirming that I have already been included in/on lists, search engines and directories for my submitted website.

I'm really lost for words here now, but from a couple of previous bad experiences here on DP with submitter services, this has to be the absolute best that I have ever used.

The proof is in the pudding, I have spent most of this afternoon going through confirmation emails (the majority didn't need confirming but I advise anyone purchasing this service to briefly check each email as they come in, because some of the services are a little tricky and hide the confirmation button on the bottom of their actual request email - you only have do this if by the off chance this happens to be a requirement of the submitted directory, search engine that you confirm your listing).

To be totally honest with you for the $10.00 charge I can't see anyone going wrong here. Even if they don't actually pick up on the numbers mentioned by Submitsmart.

Obviously it is going to take a little while for the submissions to show up in my websites stats. but early indications with the number of emails that I have been receiving is that the service has been more than worthwhile.

If your happen to order this service, my only suggestion would be to use an email address that you don't mind having swamped and where you can take your time going through the messages - most legit, a small amount of spam which you can press the delete button anyway.

Thanks for your honesty submitsmart. Because of you and a couple of other recent transactions on DP I'm starting to regain a little more confidence after having my fingers burnt. Once bitten twice shy.
