link bait... don't waste your time with the tmt or txt w/e that link is link bait is the fastest and cheapest way to build hundreds of backlinks.
Does link bait create natural appearing links? I've heard that TNX does that, but don't know anything about link bait.
Directory submissions and article submissions are cheap and fast ways to get back links. You could also comment on blogs and forums that allow links. All these however are low quality links. Fast, cheap and High quality. I don't know any way of getting all three, 2 out of three is probably the best you can hope for.
Getting backlinks too fast will trigger Google. 20 a month is a good rule, 20 a day, no no. You can use blogs URL trackbacks but it's tedious work. Most of these tactics are elusive. The real challenge is to come up with a brilliant idea for a site that people want to visit repeatedly and which becomes popular. Building yet another Adsense site with videos on it and some link backs won't get anyone rich. Unfortunately. Supply & Demand. Build yet another 'nothing new' type site is usually a waste of time and effort.
You sign up and generate a bunch of backlinks using their tool so that they look natural to Google. Then you pick the category and popularity of the sites you want to place the links on and when your campaign is approved everything is automated. You end up with a lot of cheap backlinks.

do you really want to add a bunch of links too quickly? I would think that a whole bunch of links all of sudden would be detrimental. You might get a bunch of links but will they do you any good with your SEO efforts?
20 links a day won't hurt a site at all 20 a month is way to low. What are the chances google finds all 20 links that day
