are there still rooms for Newbie Marketers Online?

Many people say that the Internet Market is saturated...I wonder if newbies can still really make a living online? I've bought and read many ebooks...but it'll be nice to hear from someone who's not a guru...I need a true and honest answer (as I am, at this point, doubting I can really do it)... thanks.

it all depends on ur niche and what u intend to do.....whether it be blogging or selling something. Uniqueness in some way, time and patience are the key things required...

You are right that it is harder, but there is plenty of room for more.

Its just a matter that it takes longer for an increase of revenue, traffic, memberships, etc.

Don't worry about trying to hit a high goal. Just look at last months traffic and revenue, and look at this months traffic and revenue. Go month to month. There should be an increase. If there is not than you are slacking off with SEO and whatnot.

I remember what one successful internet marketer
said which was that internet marketing is only
crowded at the bottom. I think that if we work
hard and do our best at whatever we're doing
    anything is possible.

Making a profit online is easy because start up costs are virtually 0. Making a LIVING online requires skill and knowledge of the market, and i hope to get to that point one day.

To reiterate iit_m2002's and Rimki, It's about "Niche Marketing". Find out what you like and are passionate about, and see if there is a market for it. And as PlateFish mentioned, you virtually have no cost. But yes, time and effort (like with everything) is needed. If you are a newbie I'll recommend the "Internet Marketing University" which will be re-released soon. It should be helpful in providing vital tools and information. Of course, there are a plethora of information available. Forums such as Digital Point are definitely helpful in assisting you.

That's like saying "everything that will be invented has already been invented"... There's always room! I suggest if you are serious about online success, to start out with work building a brand, with or without a niche.

    Success, RS.

The internet is like one big city because getting anywhere is fairly convenient. Therefore, you shouldn't try building a Taco Bell next door to one that already exists. Assuming their both the same, most people will continue to go to the same one over and over again. If both don't go out of business, one probably will.

Basically, you need to offer something unique and fresh to be successful online. I can't count the number of unsuccessful social networking websites I have seen rise up in the last year or so. They just don't offer anything different. Those new ones that are successful are typically striving to be different in some way. One fairly popular social networking site that is relatively new would be the one I saw on TV targetting handicapped people a place to talk about their conditions and meet other people in similar circumstances. Facebook and MySpace are more generic but are pioneers in the industry.

Yep like others have said its just a matter of providing something that people need in tehir lives whether that be a forum to talk to others on, a type of product that you sell, a way of meeting a husband/wife, a way to order food, information to improve their lives or countless other things that people may need.

The trick is to have the determination to keep working and to be as smart as possible while doing it. I do think luck has a little to do with it!

There are a lot of sites out there on one particular subject, like dating, or, advertisng / marketing, but look at how many are pure shit, combined with how many users there are out there.
