Hi Everyone, I have a blog that I'm going to launch tonight or tomorrow night. I'm going to spend a couple of hours with my work partner going through some basic ideas for running the blog. Before it goes live can as many people tell me ONE way of promoting it after it goes up. I want as many short and quick replies as possible so i can get a bunch of ideas flying around my head. N.B I have a forum that will be linked from the Blog. The blog will be the front page. THANKS IN ADVANCE!
Well you can ask for reviews here That's one good way to have people visiting your site + getting some suggestions for your site. You can also submit your posts to bookmarking sites as Digg.com and StumbleUpon. They sure drive a lot of traffic!
Buy blog posts from other sites. For $5-10 you can get other blogs blogging about you. Good way to build backlinks and sometimes see a bit of traffic.
Hi Christian Little, Do you know any places/sites that do this? I can't seem to find any. ( i can only find the article writing which I dont need).
Depends on the specific site. But check the Buy/Sell/Trade forum here, in the Link Sales subforum there's usually people selling blog posts.
All I do is link exchange and put my sig in forums I talk in...that's the only promotion I have thus far.
I've had the blog only open a week and have 100 unique visitors every day so far. I'm pretty excited but I do want to do a little more in depth promotion outside of this.
If your blog is quality -- submit to www.StumbleUdon.com Nice traffic from stumbles, especially if you choose the right tags and category
If you want to look for about 50-100 UV at the first day launch, you can try the entrecard site, where is over 6,200+ members have joined it already...
Article Writing is one way to promote your website. Your bylines, a few lines that appear after the article, will be critical in promoting your blog. You can definitely learn more by going to "Internet Marketing University" (google search). Best of luck and look forward to learning more about your blog and success.
Your quickest way is to work with articles and you can even consider a press release to "get the traffic rolling". RS.
