Don't try to cheat / trick google. be fair, update site regulary, and submit to some good directories like dmoz or dir.yahoo.com

    Do's:
    1) Optimize the website for a keyword.
    2) Submit the website to search engines like google, yahoo, msn etc.
    3) Build external links to your website.

    Don't:
    1) Do not spam using unnecessary keywords.

These are only a few tips. You can visit websites to learn more on SEO.

seofreelancing.com is a good website to know about SEO.

    More importantly have patience.

    • Make the site with clear hierarchy and navigation, each pages should be reachable from at least one static text link that the crawler can access.
    • Useful information is always welcome, this will attract more visitors. Write the pages only if they clearly and accurately describe your content. You may also consider optimizing your content based on the Latent Semantic Optimization model.
    • Make a sitemap, and upload it to google.
    • Use headings for important text, as article title (not title tag), and try to not use images/flash/java that will replace the text with flashmovie, image or java script code.
    • Check your site for broken links, and make sure your html code is easy to read by the crawler. Maybe use one of these online tools.

That one's a waste of time. You're websites not going to get very far anyway if you have to submit it for it to be indexed.
