Question About Page Ad Selection

    Hi

I've noticed that on my site all of my ads have now changed to the same one, which is a new image ad as of today.
I haven't added any new content meanwhile so that couldn't have caused the change.

So what has cused this change? Does this mean that this person pays more per click than all other advertisers for these keywords and therefore appeared on my site which is very relevant? Or how are the ads selected besides being contextual - do the higher paid ones appear on a page or the lower paid one/ what does this depend on?

a blend of high relevancy and high rate is that works , so google takes both factors into account

May be due to the type of content in the page suits the ad very well. If you don't like the ad to be displayed, use filters to block them.

New highest bid ad which is automatically selected to display in your site.

    Opt for text only ads..
If that ad is not relevant to your site, just filter that.

Chances are that ad works well on your site, so unless it's a problem for you to have that ad just leave it. I suspect it will be much more profitable for you.

That has happened to me also. I did not change anything and the ads changed themselves. All was back to normal in an hour.

Adding new content may display different ads. Or may be just filter these ads.

Yes guys but I did say I haven't changed the content. Actually my CTR increased from about 3% to 7% with this type of ad because it's the voting type one and this obviously is effective.

Thing is that even though the CTR increased the earnings remained the same, therefore this ad couldn't pay more per click than the ones there were before which is why I initially thought it replaced the old ones.

i have only text ad on one of my site and still an image ad have been displaying for some time now. used to be only text ads to begin with. i have no complain as that image ad is relavant and get me clicks. google takes visitor geo and browsing behavior into consideration and serves ads accordingly

Most probably they are targeting your site specifically, that’s why the ad is being displayed so frequently.
