Only showing "Public Service" ads

    Hello all,

    My adsense has been showing Public Service ads for the last two weeks or so. I can't accurately tell ya when the last time a usual ad was shown. What could be goin on and what should I do to get ads back showing?

    BTW, I have adsense running on 2 out of my 5 sites since September '07.

    Thanks,
    Moreno

    You might want to check and see if Google has suspended your account temporarily. Have you changed your content drastically lately? Google might be re-indexing your pages or something.

    PS> What page are you referring to?

    One of my sites has been offline for a few weeks due to hosting errors. And by page (site?), I'm referring to the last two in my sig.

    If the account is suspended, there will be no ads at all.

    You need to put more content so Google's system will know what's the best ads for you.

    Your Adsense code is not complete!!!! Google TOS: You may not change or alter the code.

    How do you figure that?

    and all the rest are in that format. I've changed nothing..... unless Google's changed the code (which I doubt)

    chances are that if one of your sites has been off line for a while that google removed it from it's database and it now has to re-index the site.

    Doesn't click with me though because Site X has been offline for a period of time, 2 to 3 times.... and the ads still showed on my other site flawlessly.

    I had a look ad your code and what you show here is what I saw!

    A complete code should look like this: (changed a few details with xxxxx in this example for obvious reasons)

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxx";
    google_alternate_color = "fdfbb0";
    google_ad_width = 160;
    google_ad_height = 600;
    google_ad_format = "160x600_as";
    google_ad_type = "text_image";
    //2007-05-1 xxxx
    google_ad_channel = "xxxxxxx";
    google_color_border = "FDFBB0";
    google_color_bg = "FDFBB0";
    google_color_link = "0000FF";
    google_color_text = "333333";
    google_color_url = "0000FF";
    //-->
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="pagead2.googles/paxxxxxxxxxxxgead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    You might want to email to get the straight answer. It could really be this way for a number of reasons.

    Does Google have ad inventory for your keywords? Go to Google's site and search on your keywords. Then look over at the right side of the page to see if there are any Adsense ads. If not, there are no ads for your keywords. For example, Google might not have ads for "flowers in Antarctica."

    Are you using "stop words" such as "kill", "murder", "suicide", or such? Google doesn't like those words and doesn't have any ad inventory for them.
