over a year and a half ago craigslist used to be an incredible cash cow... now i think it's virtually impossible to post repeatedly. I must commend them they have locked it down INCREDIBLY.

I've tried switching IP's, Email Address, message content, message title, clearing cookies etc.. but my ads still get "ghosted"... im starting to believe they have hired a team of people to review / ghost ads before they go up.

this is extremely frustrating.. Im just wondering, does ANYONE have any luck on craigslist? if so, any tips :(

Try posting in small biz section. I heard hide-my-ip is good for CL. Hope that helps.

I follow these steps, and they help me:

    1) Unique Email address: Use a different email address for each posting.

    2) Different Ad Descriptions: You need to change the ad description each time to avoid "similar posting" error and staff deletion.

    3) IP Address: Change your IP as frequently as possible. If a lot of ads are posted using a single IP then it is blocked for few hours to few days, even permanently if abused recurrently. It seems postings from foreign IPs are auto-deleted by Craigslist software.

    4) Titles: Titles should match with category. Using a lot of different
titles are also helpful. Particularly, it reduces user flagging.
And obviously user flagging leads to staff deletion.

    5) Don't post more than 10-20 ads at a time. Give some time gap between each batch of postings.

    6) Select your posting category properly. Postings on wrong categories are flagged and deleted so quickly.

    7) To get maximum benefit select your posting time carefully.
Do some research to determine appropriate time for your business.

    8) Don't post too many ads too frequently. Over exposure is not a good idea.

    9) If your ads are flagged so frequently then make your ads more natural looking. Too much commercial looking ads may be flagged so frequently unless you are posting under "services offered" category.

    10) Finally, avoid using a particular word or phrase (may be company name, phone number or email address etc...) in your titles or ad descriptions.

11.Make sure you change your IP address every 5 ads you post.

    12. Use one craigslist account when posting this way you won’t have to verify your ad.

13.Make sure you clear all cookies after each posting.

thanks for the advice.. honestly ive tried everything on your list... you do this and your ads actually show up "live"? i will try a few things because im starting to think they block proxy servers too possibly (they have the ability to know if it's a proxy or not)...

do you know of an autoposter that incorporates accounts? mine just uses emails

I am new here, so forgive my ignorance, but where are you located and where are you trying to post (country/city as well as CL category)?

Interesting. You are in the US and still getting ads removed, even though you are taking the steps you listed earlier? That seems very strange and almost impossible. Regardless, what part of personals? Erotic services? Are you using your phone number to post these ads? Another step you can try is when you publish an ad don't ad your pic yet. Enter your information (random words, etc) and then hit continue. Then when you get the CL Publish/Edit email, don't hit publish right away, click edit and then ad your pic. That works for me sometime.

I mean, otherwise I can't really help you. If you are doing all that stuff and still getting ghosted, that is insane. I have never heard that before...

No. I have no problem with posting ads all over the country...I get the CL publish email, and responses from viewers. Make you sure you delete that email when you get it though.

i agree it seems impossible and i am baffled. the most frustrating part is it was 100x easier a year and a half ago lol...i will try uploading my image before hitting publish...

let me tell you i also dont really have a real "ad description", just a photo with my url... and in the "ad description", i just have random words (no formuldated sentences).. do you think they pic up on no punctuation marks? lol.. i know some of the things may sound crazy but thats how baffled i am, trying to think outside the box and figure out what they are doing...

You may be right about your ad description.

Are you posting to erotic services? Casual encounters? Women for men?

A couple other things, don't limit yourself just to CL. There are hundred other sites that I get leads, hits and ultimately sales from. Post an ad, that looks as natural as possible. Make people think you are real, but imply some sort of sexual offering eventually. Hint at it, don't say we can mess around and get freaky, something like "let's get drinks and see where it goes from there," or "...blah blah blah, looking for fun!! Take me out!". You now have them hooked. They will send you an email, and expect to get a response from you. You can either reply to each one personally, or I recommend investing in an autoresponder and make a template of that email response and have it send it back to them automatically. But you have to make sure it is personal so they believe it is really you. In there ad your link, screen name, etc. You may have to invest a little time and talk to these guys, but if they believe you are real, they will bite.... Trust me...
