This isn't a campaign to gain a mass amount of money by affiliate programs.
I know it’s difficult to start a forum, but I believe I have the knowledge.

This is my first forum, I will be creating, by using Vbulletin

    Plan of action

    Traffic

    Directories, mainly manual submission
Produce as many backlinks to every warez related site, hopefully this will increase the website page rank over time
Maybe write an article and submit it to as many article directories as I know of like ezine articles.
Upload a video on YouTube, not based on warez, and incorporate the websites address in the video.
Any other suggestions in this department will be helpful.
Index website in main search engines i.e. Microsoft live, yahoo, Google

The domain name will be a high keyword that is used in search engines.
Any suggestions on domain name will be appreciated.

    Content
Get links from other warez sites and forums (Rapidshare, megauploads direct links, etc.....)
This needs to be constant, and I will encourage/promote, everyone to do this as they will be contributing to the community, if this is done successfully i believe the forum will become large quicker

    Overall
Have ten+ moderators, this may increase as the forum become larger.
Once i have between 1,000-5,000 members I will most likely incorporate an affiliate programs.

These are a few warez forums i use, and i will be contrasting mine to them.
    warez bb
    warez ws
    forumw
However I have realised that none of these have incorporated affliate programs, any reason for this.

Any suggestions/valuable information/flaws will be most appreciated

Well it would be VERY hard for you to start a warez forum in this day and age, i mean there are a number of good warez forums, and only a handful of them actually grow quickly!

    and your point is?
besides making the mistake of posting in the wrong area.
warez is illegal and not supported here, your meager reputation can be ruined by just suggesting it.

good luck cause your gonna need it.

Why would anyone want to have their product / program affiliated with illegal content? What were you planning on advertising on this forum?

Stop bashing him guys. At the end of the day half the members on here use pirated software. Im sure he knows its illegal too. Besides, there are thousands of warez forums out there already. Don't get me wrong, im against piracy myself but if he wants to, let him do it.

warez forums would be the easiest forum to start imo
you go around stealing software and movies and share them on your own site.
When I first started online, I was a mod of one of the largest warez forums and let me tell ya, it was a piece of cake.. Who is going to get mad at you when they are getting exactly what they want for free without paying for it!

If you want a real challenge, just like it life, do it the legit way!
Start a forum on sports or cars or something that you are interested in that is legal!...
Anyone can give away stolen goods, real business men and women will start a legit site...

When warez forums become big, software companies, will turn an eye towards you. You'll have to be ready with answers at that time.

Warez forums are very difficult to start now a days, back in my time with Tha-Vault.net which is down now so anyone who wants it go for it. It became very popular but I just forgot about it. But you probably wont be as big as the ones out there now since their so old! But if you are on your venture to start one I will be more than happy to help!

One problem you'll run into is that the people who work 8-5 developing this software aren't going to take it too lightly that you're taking it without paying.

I'd recommend off-shore hosting, but be aware that it will be much slower and cost much more. You don't want to be shut down before your 1000th member by the RIAA, and bear in mind those messages at the bottom stating that you don't actually host illegal content don't mean anything. Any reputable host such as HostGator, ThePlanet, SiteGround, 1&1, etc. will shut you down even if they get a complaint--I've seen it happen.

Warez forums are the easiest to start and grow.

The most popular way of getting traffic to warez forums is to submit the downloads (posts) to download sites, like Katz:
    http://katz.cd

They index your posts and when guests want something they will search for it and be taken to your site.

Ive seen forums get 50,000 members in a few months like that. :)

EDIT: Also, they are not illegal if you know what your doing.
