Backlink with yahoo profile

If you create a yahoo profile and create 4 links in it ...

home page
cool link1
cool link2
cool link3

You get 4 back links.

They seem to be genuine follow links.

You can check it using profiles.yahoo.com/xxxx

These things can get good page rank
profiles.yahoo.com/webbug2000 has PR5

But then again, if these pages don't count in Google, I guess PR doesn't matter.

I think Google does index them. Lots are listed here:

I think the secret is to find lots of these profile type pages. And to then link to them from external pages, to let the search engines know that they exist.

For example, this link to my profile should help the search engines find my profile and start indexing it.

 

i have about 7-8 profiles and most of them are indexed. the only thing is they dont have any PR. However backlinks are never wasted and especially from a site like yahoo it never will be

 

Thanks everyone for compliments. I had couple of yahoo profiles and I have added links to them ... I do think that google indexes and takes them as genuine links since they appear in my webmaster tools. In anyway they do not hurt ....
