Jackuul, that's totally not what I am looking for. Your GUI design lack the class and appeal altogether. They are bright though, that's good thing.
sunnie, the design is children-oriented ;-) It's not what I am looking for. It's too bright, the colors conflict.
scorpionagency, You guys miss the whole idea of likeability. I provided the mockup in my original post as a reference, I want your player to be _better_ than the player I already have.
Brainwaves, I see that we both like the original design ;-) I don't think that's a good idea, to copy exactly the graphics from the origonal mockup. 1) Would you make your own buttons? 2) In this case, bright is bad. You can have one bright color, but please be consistent, it's either pink, or green, or blue - not all of them at the same time. 3) The play button is blurry, the rest of the player is not 4) The volume indicator has a border that stands out - it's not a good thing.
woosh, you have some beautiful pieces of design in your portfolio; this player is not your best work, for sure.
coolwanz, that's a high quality work - i like it. I don't like the texture of the player, it's way too overdone though.
Callistas_Designs, Even though that I like the feel and look of the background, I would use this player on my sites: a) the white area is badly done b) "download this song" is almost unreadble. this button is a moneymaker, so it must deliver it's point right away. c) the volume indicator looks bad.
XFactorLogo, I like it a lot! I need several skins by several artists to be used on different sites. Having said that I like my current design, here is the critics: a) it's not the right size. the minimum height must be at least 140 px. b) it's tailored to my personal taste, not to the taste of my users. basically it's unisex, not "girlish" design. c) it's not glossy enough, it's bit too blurry, not high-def, not crystal clear. Care to submit your version? I really liked the logo you did for me.
nwsn3twrkshp , I see the potential in this design. Here are the problems: 1) the fading background symbols (hearts and clefs) take too much attention from the actual design elements 2) The song title and artist name are not that readable, The should be some font work done. 3) there should be one embed button "<>", not two separate "next" and "prev" buttons ;-) 4) "lyrics" button sucks would you put some more work in it?
JoKeRuLLz, looks much better. please work on the buttons. they must be the the ones that I have on the original design (i.e. no "next button"), no separate stop and pause buttons (it's just one play/stop button). I'd also would like to see the buttons more 3d, more glossy. Please work on layout: the player looks like there is too much empty space. Since there would be no vertical bars, the empty space might become a problem.
rkquest, I actually do like this skin a lot. It's totally opposite of what I had in mind, but it fits the description and its good. Would you work a bit on these areas: 1) The vertical scroller - it looks so much less quality than the buttons 2) There is no status bar. The status bar is the place where a descriptive text will appear on button mouse overs. Please take a look at the last.fm player (http://www.last.fm/music/Akon/_/Lonely). Start the song, and then put you mouse over the heart button - the text will appear on the status bar. 3) Texts. They are a bit blurry. Could you take a look at either the original design, or at the untitledstudios's entry? 4) the download and ring tone buttons are great. The lyrics and embed buttons are not obvious. Would you play around with the texts on the buttons instead of the icons? COPY ME! could be a good text for the "<>" button. The same for lyrics.
neilparnham, it's great. I honestly like the design. But absolute majority of the visitors on my sites are girls. They won't want to copy this player on their sites.
Forgot to say, I absolutely love the way you did play button. I see you did some work on the vertical scroller: IMHO it's still not as good as your buttons.
aimres, I like the way you did the buttons. The way you did it, no icons are necessary. BTW, it's "ringtone", not "phone". You missed one button, though, the embed one, <>. Overall, I don't think that the player look professionally done enough.
