    Almost one year ago,
i registered my first bidding web directory domain Bidweblinks,
that was inspired from the most popular bidding web directory Bigweblinks,
i have forgotten to register its alternative Bidweblink,
and now the domain was registered by a Malaysian,
it's really pain experience for me.
so for all your guys here make sure to register all relative domains before starting a serious website.

Yeah it sucks. A little like the guy who registered zorglinks.com and refused to sell to me just to piss me off.

At least your domain didn't have much of a proper brand in it...

Good advice regarding registering anything important to you, one thing to remember is if you dont, then you have no right to get angry at the other owner, abuse them or suggest their anything, if they get in and grab that similar domain then thats how it went.

If you want to and believe its worth the extra yearly registration fees id suggest .net .org of your already owned domain, and one mispelling of it if it makes sense, and maybe one closely sounding name, but really you cant protect against all the similar sounding domains around yours, it would cost you a fortune.

Theres a plus side, you may get some of their mistyped traffic, likewise they may get some of yours.

ah .. this is how domainers make money lol. If a domainer see potential they grab the domain. I grabbed all the popular extension for balkhis that I really wanted. Now if anyone else thinks they can make money from my last name than I guess it means I am really that popular :p
