Can't decide for myself, how important is the rss feed for google? If there are two identical websites, one has rss feed, the other one does not, would website with rss feed rank better in google? Something is wrong with rss on one of my websites, and I am thinking, should I fix it, or should I just get rid of rss alltogether

i personally havent noticed anything from having a feed on my site. dont think anybody subscribes to it and in terms of SEO - it's only one page - so i can't see it having a significant impact.
yeah, I think I'll just get rid of it, my only hope was that it helps my google ranking in some way, but it seems google does not care thanks a lot guys
First, only summaries should be inserted into your RSS feed. Second, the most advanced site scrappers don't use RSS.
I think as right now internet is consisting of many blogs its hard for readers to visit each and every site to find if their favourite blog is updated and if updated then they read orelse they need to come often. Hence RSS makes the work more easier. I have also monetized my RSS but though i did not get much from it I am just developing it show that RSS is also something that really matters. RSS feed count is just like the size of your BICEPS. The bigger the biceps is equal to the larger the feed count.
My dear friend Its good if you have RSS on your website but the most important thing is providing regulary and constant new content then only it will work otherwise there is no mean to have RSS on your website. Secondly you can provide RSS for your own site if your pages are constantly update. So in this you will never get penalty for duplicate content. Cool Mate and Enjoy your day
yes you are right...............for getting indexed in google this is a way. After writinig you submit them to many feed sites and get indexed quickly.
It's worth it for using Feedburner and having a new option to keep people up to date on what you've just added to your site.
