I guess he asked for CTR... For better CTR, you should blend your ads(not always) and find better placements for your site
Although you do want to build adsense revenue sites around the higher paying keywords, you guys need to keep in mind that even if you have high paying ads running on your sites, you won't get anywhere near the cost of the add paid to you from Google. Heck I've seen ads on my own sites that are $60 per click, but guess what, I probably only made .15 cents on those clicks. Now that doesn't mean I don't get some good high click values at times, but those are the exception and not the rule. I just thought you should know that, if you weren't already aware.
I think changing the ad color every so often might help, not sure though just something I've been noticing people do.
if you have many returning visitors (forum, blog, social site ...) you should change the placement or color after a while, if not find what's the best color or placement and stick with it how to find what's the best color for the ads or where to put them ? it is not a rule, just make some tests, it depends from site to site. good luck !
