Anime website

im thinking about creating an anime website that streams episodes, but the episodes will be streamed from video hosting site such as veoh and youtube, can i do that? and it is legal? Is it legal if i upload and host/stream anime videos on my own site?

 

If you link back to the original creator will be no problem.

Since google bought youtube, they have been removing anime videos

So I would chose vids.myspace or veoh for your videos

i think you should be able to do that. i had a friend that made a site very similar to that and all his site was just embedded videos from youtube.

 

They can take the vids off the site and you can be held liable

 

another question, how can you make money from this type of site? any ideas?

 

You can't display adsense on the same page as the videos.

Some people will have a landing page. It will have pictures most likely about which episodes you wanna view. Some put the ads on that page, because the vids aren't on it. You have to click to go to the vid page.

Some other people, will have them wait 15 seconds before taking them to the cids page. So the waiting page will have adsense and other related ads on that page.

Another way a lot of people make money is from the Zango toolbar thing

Im not choosing a name, you should, just take into consideration if you want one anime mainstream like Naruto or a whole bunch like bleach, naruto, death note

ANd yeah you can ask people to donate, but they don't have too
