i think everyone has thought about it once or twice...your lying if you say you havn't. dunno if i would though.
It wouldnt work. Google would be monitoring the IPs that the clicks came from and would get suspicious.
I guess I'm lying then, I'm with Adsense for more than a year now, never thought or wanted to do that. That is why many of you got banned and keep complaining why Google banned you.
Yep I have seen so many people thinking about doing this and it will just get you banned. Also I myself advertise my companies on adwords and to think my money is being used to make other people money who are too lazy to work hard and make a legitimate website just pisses me off.
i know it is unethical to do but what if you are having a dynamic ip and your cache is always cleared? is there anyway to track? just curious
Asking questions like this is a great way to build rep on DP! Many members use adwords and click fraud, if you were smart enough to get a way with (which I doubt), cost the advertiser money more so than Google. It is no different than stealing at a job.
nah, im at this webiste for the long haul, its cool. i was just asking if anybody had thought of it before...i wouldn't risk my account to be honest. plus i plan on using google to advertise myself some day, so i would be contradicting myself.
I'd be lying if I said it never occurred to me. Especially in the early going when I knew nothing about adsense and the clicks weren't happening. Would I ever do it - NO! First of all Google will catch and ban you. I'm not trying to be insulting, but if you're even posting the idea here you're not smart enough to get away with it. I'm sure Google monitors this forum and if my site analytics software (when you are actually on my site) can narrow down your IP to lat. and long., I'm sure Google Analytics can track you. Click rings never have the same browsing patterns as regular site visitors and that's how they get caught. If X number of IP's click on this ad over a certain period and never buy the product, close the browser immediately, etc. Google will catch you. They don't care if it's pennies or dollars, spot audits for suspicious behavior will find you. Take the insight from the forum, nail your niche and get legitimate traffic and hits. It can be frustrating if you've picked the wrong keywords or if the traffic isn't coming along the way you want it too, but not only is it very rewarding when you do it the right way, but you can also take what you've learned and apply it to other sites you want to build. Wishing you the best of luck. Valkerie
Never thought of it myself. Not just unethical but pretty stupid, nothing to gained from cheating/stealing.
