I used to use one with my old Thinkpad...just a generic sort of thing you can buy from BestBuy, I think it worked well. My new Though seems to be ok and I have a huge thing underneath it so my leg hairs don't get sucked into the cpu fan :p

no ,the new one isn't a cooling pad, just a big 'game board' for the lack of a better term...like really solid cardboard...just something to keep everything flay really.

plus it's a 17WS...a beast, I don't think they even make a cooling pad that big but if they did I would buy it :)

I use Cooler Master. At least better than those plastic-made.

Yeah, I have the same problem trying to find a laptop pad so I just have a 15.4 standard pad for it and place it where it gets the hottest.

I have a two fanned targus one, it works very well for me :)

there is a company called Thermaltake that makes cooling pads, some fanned and some not, has anyone tried the non fanned one that is supposed to drive the heat away from the middle of the pad to the edges?

Everybody has a laptop... I never use my laptop. So don't need the fans. But the thermaltake ones are great, both for pc and laptop.
