Which title tag is better?

I currently have title tags for my categories set to, for exampe:

Computer Components

should I change this to

Computer Components - Buy Bargain PC Parts

or similar to increase the keywords in the title?

i thinks that "Computer Components - Buy Bargain PC Parts" is better. because It's expanded your main keyword too.

I'll choose your second title "Computer Components - Buy Bargain PC Parts". It's more precise and contains more keywords.
"Computer Components" is surely more competitive and will be more difficult to be well ranked for that keyword.

I would like to point out that I am within the top 3 for "computer components" in the UK so am looking to optimise this and other similar categories.

Could changing this actually damage my current ranking?

 

If you are in the top 3 I would be very careful. The search engines put a great weight on the title tag, so if you add words you may be diluting the weight of your current title tag, so your position might drop!!!!
I would look at your competition and how many back links they have and what anchor text they are using in the back links. Then you know what anchor text to target and build links yourself. backlinkwatch.com is good for this.

Yes, I agree. I didn't know you were now ranked at #3. You should be very careful changing your title.

- don't forget that words like "cheap" and "free" are like a magnet for the visitors )
