I wouldn't take it without checking if the email addresses are opt in or it is just random. The $5 may be cheap but the damage to your reputation from blasting out spams may far far outweigh the costs of sending.
For mass mailing it can be expensive, you can just get a software to slowly blast to 2000 email accounts. If it is corporate it would be considered cheap as normally corporate blasting comes with tracking etc.
