Hey guys. Earlier today I uploaded an RPG on my site. I've never run a game before. What is the best way to get users to register? Should I have a competition? If yes, what would be a good prize? Thanks, Alex
advertise,,when it comes to a game if its gud..it'll spread fast by word of mouth,,so one click would lead to 10 visitors if its a gud interesting game that is..
Absolutely, you need to be active, one way, and free is to get your game submitted to voting sites or use an exchange to get traffic. If you are interested in some paid placements, I'm happy to help, PM me for that info.

....He/she (not sure) said that he/she did not have money to spend on it....the prize will defiantly not be a PS2, PS3, but should be something in the game......that would help the player out in the game......that's what I would do. Make a new item for the prize winner...or if gold is related to the game, make his account gain x amount of gold or currency for a period of time. Have a hall of fame for those that get more people to sign up through their affiliate link......I will check out yours game btw. I check things out for ideas, if I like anything you have in your game....I will send a document for permission to implement it on one of my future sites, yea, hope you have a fax or something..... Reason for written permission, to avoid lawsuits, you would not believe how greedy people are over money.
Dude...if you're not promoting on MySpace & Facebook, you're missing out on MAJOR traffic. Just get a myspace bot like addmyfriends and post the URL to thousands of 'active game freaks' on MySpace!! As for facebook, I'm not to sure if there's a good bot for that one, but MySpace is definately a ball-roller!
give away a free subscription if you have that in your game,i ran a referral contest and that did ok gets some players in but mostly i get traffic from voting sites. i did try google adwords but to be honest it not worth the effort i found worked on backlinks etc as well wjich helped as well pm me for voting sites etc, i have experimented with quite a few and now i have five which bring traffic to my site
