Yahoo and Google are like head and tail of a coin. Yahoo will never die and google will never extint. Yahoo must realize that google is trying to design product where yahoo or msn have a masss appeal and they are able to reach the people because google adwords and google adsens. Google is able to develop better products and they dont have any competitor contextual advertising.Hence hoe can Yahoo be a number one. Here are some of my suggestion.
1. Open Yahoo Publisher Network to international audience.
2. create a product similar to google bloggers.com
3. Free unlimited mail access with POP3.
4. Create multiple free products like google pack.
5. Takeover some businesses to expand the market reach.

dont they still have the #1 spot of traffic to their .com in the world? i dont think they are dying

 

I don't think yahoo is dying of anything soon, While they may not be focusing on their search engine they are trying to expand in other areas. Yahoo still stands at #2 and so far no one seems to be trying to take that spot.

 

Here is something that annoys me using Yahoo, there cache never works. F'in useless. Just another reason to use Google.

it's got more contents I'm sure more people use yahoo than goog.
I only use google for search and email.

 

Yahoo needs 1.5 million or something like that to upgrade there stuff. That is why microsoft is giving them a hand.

In this fast growing world if you maintain your product with advance technology and give facility to your customer then you have a good brand name.

Google update algorithms frequently and gives new feature to webmaster or visitor.
So, Google is Top Brand name is Search Engine market.

Mr Wall says that Yahoo's current search algorithm is usually Googles algo two years ago... making it obsolete.
