Received a DHL bill asking for $140...

Ok so i did a sent back item to sender and I didn't know anything after talking to the driver and the driver said hes going to take care everything for me... after a week or so, a bill were mailed to my address asking for $140 for this shipping fee... So just wondering what will happen if i don't pay this?

 

They might take you to collections if you don't pay. Unless there was a prior agreemet with the companies you were returning the item to pay for shipping, the fees are yours. When the driver said he'd take careod it, he meant he'd make sure you got the bill.

 

i didn't know anything about shipping a package, upon sending it back, the driver did a one day air saver to ship the package which is in another country. So i am pretty much paying $140 innocently but if i am not going to pay and you said something about collections, what do you mean by that?

 

They will get a collection agency to call you and harass you for the money.

 

They go overboard on bills all the time. call them and complain

is this something you ordered and expected to be delivered?

 

By Law (UK) for unsolicited good, you are entitled to keep it if you didn't request it. they part who sent the tiem to you must pay the fees.

 

Did you sign any forms? I don't see how they could possibly get away with it unless you signed for the service in the first place.

 

i didn't sign jack. They just took my package and ship them as their desire...

 

Let me get this straight: If i send you a cow, and you didnt request it, You have to keep it?

 

Effectively yes - well you can keep it or return it at the expense of the sender i,e you

 

same thing in the US. if you send something to me that i didn't ask for, i can keep it free or send it back at your expense.

if you send me a cow, i'll fill my freezer with it.

 

Just give me your address and i will.
