Hello all DPers I was wondering what these server stats stand for Can someone help in deciphering it This is the stats displayed on my cpanel psrvd up exim (exim-4.68-1_cpanel_maildir) up mysql (5.0.45-community) up eximstats up cpanellogd up imap up httpd (1.3.41 (Unix)) up pop up named up syslogd up spamd up exim-26 up ftpd up Server Load 1.12 (2 cpus) Memory Used 15.9 % Swap Used 0 % Disk /dev/sda6 (/tmp) 4 % Disk /dev/sda7 (/home) 19 % Disk /dev/sda1 (/) 7 % Disk /dev/sda2 (/var) 10 % Disk /dev/sda3 (/usr) 19 % What do they actually stand for
Um means you should read around a bit psrvd means your cpanel is up and running rest is pretty self explanatory... mysql is running mail deamons spam deamon dns server (named), etc... if any of em were down it would mean you need to check the logs to see why it's down... It's a means to say everything is running or not. You should readup on this to familiarise yourself on what's a process and what they all do ... Google will be your friend if you want to learn on it.
psrvd up exim (exim-4.68-1_cpanel_maildir) up - mailserver mysql (5.0.45-community) up - database eximstats up - mail stats cpanellogd up - cpanel logs imap up - mail API httpd (1.3.41 (Unix)) up - webserver pop up - mail named up - dns syslogd up - logs spamd up - spamd [antispam] exim-26 up - mailserver ftpd up - FTP server Server Load 1.12 (2 cpus) - Server load - how busy the server is. Memory Used 15.9 % - RAM/Memory - How much is used by processes/apps Swap Used 0 % - Backup brain [ SWAP - secondary virtual memory ] Disk /dev/sda6 (/tmp) 4 % - tmp area on hard drive used for temporary cache files etc Disk /dev/sda7 (/home) 19 % - main file storage Disk /dev/sda1 (/) 7 % - central file dir Disk /dev/sda2 (/var) 10 % - system Disk /dev/sda3 (/usr) 19 % - system Thats just a basic overview. However, IMO you shouldn't even be in the CPanel if you don't know what half these stats mean. Best Regards, SSANZ TEAM - Logan
Thanks a lot, i m of course in the cpanel, and learning a bit about server and stuff I have got a guy who looks into all those stuff, but was just curious enough to know what all this means-he is good but not able to explain always to me
