Found a thread on here with a guy posting something from my site.. except he linked to it on his site like it was his own

In fact..I found that he had a few of my articles. I don't mind someone using my article as long as they quote it and link back to the original. I posted on his site. He hasnt responded... what else can i do if he doesnt?

Whois him and contact his host?

Well, there really isn't much you can do. I suggest contacting his host, but they might not do anything. Mate, it is the internet; content is copied every second.

Send him a cease and desist notice first. Get his contact if you can. If not, notify his host.

You need to tell him that he is in violation of a law that can be enforced.

Do you have some sort of proof that you wrote the articles? If you have solid proof that they are your you should be able to contact their host and get it taken down...

you may need better proof because most hosts denies to save $ form clients. They will give excuses like canges in database can be made for date changes.

Do you still have saved files?
if so you can sue it as proof since the "created" date will be proof.

the file with the article stolen
those files have created date, modified date, etc... by "properties" or "deatils" tab

also you may wish to capture the date posted on the website stealing your article..becuase no one will argue the owner canges dates for the thief.

Try to contact them and ask for removing of your article.
