Hey! Where and how did you learn photoshop? Did you just learn it by yourself - by hit and trial? Did someone teach you how to do certain things in Photoshop? Or did you use Internet Tutorials? If you used tutorials, then which sites do you think are the best? I know the basics, but i want to learn advanced photoshopping! Thanks, FaNtEcH
hey, i taught myself to start with, but as i got better i used website tutorials, just search on p2l for photoshop tutorials, there is literally millions, i just completed a course on graphic design at tafe so that helped heaps..
p2l-great site. I taught myself from some psd files that my friend gave me..just learned it backwards from his finished product. but it took me awhile to get to the tutorials--when i did i realized that i was doing a lot of things the hard way...so good idea to do those tutorials.. http://www.kreative-studios.net http://psdtuts.com/ http://www.grafx-design.com
I downloaded the trial and just started playing around with everything I started using the liquify tool to modify pictures. After that I just started playing with layer options and now I'm pretty much familiar with every technique. Tutorials are okay too but I think its a lot more useful if you create your own methods to achieve things instead of just copying someone else's techniques. No tutorial can teach you how to become advanced at Photoshop, you have to be able to figure out ways to achieve the result you want and that can only be done by playing around enough
Hit and trial and online tutorials. But keep experimenting. It takes time but gets done. Its a forever continuing process. PS is too vast.
I've been wanting to start designing my graphics as well. It seems that the tutorials are few and far between---but I'm glad you guys added the ones here. I'll have to check them out!
I used to copy sites that really inspires me. Then I became serious and went to search for tutorials. I applied for a web designer job even though I'm still in school and my skills in photoshop was 3/10 back then. That's pretty much how I learned.
I learned it the hard way, By myself using online sopurces. In the end I got what I wanted. The trick is to have a good idea of what you want and then articulate that need in a google search. Im sure there are easier ways Frank www.theBurialgrounds.com
I taught myself the basics and then found some good tutorials online for more complicated stuff like creating animated gif files.
I have been playing with photoshop for about 2 years now, and it feels familiar.. At the start i read some tutorials while making signatures, but i later on moved to web design..
Yeah, same here. I first started to make signatures at a forum I attended, then that got boring and I started to go to www.good-tutorials.com. This place taught me alot of the essentials I needed to know. Basically I learned from looking at alot of examples, tutorials, and video's. Jason
yup, I am self taught as well. Just type free photoshop tutorials into google and you will find thousands
Just mess around with it, a little trial and error. Also i suggest tutorial sites such as; www.good-tutorials.com www.pixel2life.com www.psdtuts.com (purchase Plus membership so you can download the .PSD's and see how the did it) Stuff like that really, also enter some of the competitions here on digitalpoint - although you may not win it's great for some practice. Gives you an incentive to design aswell. -Josh.
I had attend a class for Photoshop at my college..there are also a class about designing,Illustrator anda many more about graphic design..
a quick technique that will help you to learn everything you want: Check with yourself what do you need to do, or want to do, see it very clearly in your eyes, than go and check how, use every tool that can help you, that way you will know everything you need and want, Don't just go and learn....
The best way is just sitting down and go through the millions of free tutorials on the web. The possibilities with photoshop are endless there is always something new to learn.
I started back in the day when I was a little lad messing around with tutorials from Spoono.com. That was all the simple stuff. Right now I cant do crazy crazy things but I taught myself it all just by messing around with everything.
