I think this option is only for US/Canada paypal account holders.

If this is your situation, then it could very well be a good choice for you.

If you take care of your computer and get your money in a legit manner there is nothing unsafe about it. Ive had $xx,xxx in my PayPal for a month once with no problems. I always have a large sum in it and dont even think about anything happening with it.

I use paypal's money market account and yes it pays out interest monthly. Right now it's 3.13% but during the time when banks were extending credit to each other at a all time low interest rate this exact same money market fund was paying out 5.46% MONTHLY.

Frankly I don't care if anyone believes me or not, personally I hope more people DO NOT find out about it. ;p

No it wasn't. It was making monthly interest payments on a 5.46% annual rate. That is a completely different thing.

it's interesting, because it says 7-Day Average Yield ... not annual

Thats the average for the past week of that number next to it. Not that youre being paid that weekly.

I make a few dollars each month. I kept $1,000 in it one time to see how well it'd fair, but I got around $4 so I just took all my money out.

Not really worth the risk of PayPal freezing your account with a large sum of money in it.
