Targetting Members

    Hello. This is for getting actual members to join and be active. Rather then just traffic in general. By traffic I mean guests who are visiting the forums. By actual members, I mean a way to get a member to register who likes the niche and not to get ten hits. :)

    Okay. So lets share ways we have generated members. Use the guidelines above. Also use ways that are spam free, none rule breaking, and ways that are not annoying to people.

    some things I know are:

    -word of mouth is great to get active members

    -Cheap banner ads on sites that are in the same niche

    Tell family friends, msn buddies, gchat, yahoo etc.

    Also extending free contest to people will always draw decent attention.

    I have a fare few ways myself. I need to start putting them into action. Also this for sharing views. :)
