I need a custom logo done for the online shopping network. Other people have posted their sites, which use the same template, here. I included that thread because I wanted to demonstrate that people are using different sizes for the their own logos. I'll make my payment through PayPal to the design that catches my fancy. Timeframe : Now until something catches my attention. What I get: the .PSD with my new logo. What you get $50 USD. What we both get: +1 iTrader.
This one is good. Very good. I like this logo, but not for my header.. @ All Designers: Think in terms of a television logo; think in terms of a shopping channel that is on television.
Banner logo for the header of the main website. Big logo at the top of the page.. Sorry. I do, however, want to give people the impression that the website could actually be a channel on the television.
The mirror effects are good. The domain name, however, is either too prominent, or it needs to disappear altogether. Also, the image has a gender bias to it; gender neutral or genderless is better. What I mean here is that the image itself should not cater to men specifically or women specifically. Potential shoppers should know what the site is about from a memorable graphic, and potential shoppers should feel "safe" by browsing the site, sensing that we're not a fly-by-night site.
Nice use of a smaller logo, which can be transposed to different sites to communicate the actual "network," i.e., the word-less image will communicate continuity when it's used on other sites. I'm thinking that the font communicates a futuristic feel to it, perhaps too futuristic. The width is the banner is good;

I'll play with the fonts tomorrow. I selected this font to better represent a "network", it's usually the types of fonts they use.
Essentially, this is what I have right now, but with a different font. I'm looking for something with more color, and with a more refined font. I believe this one is "in your face." ... That is, this one feels "heavy."
Getting better; Nice use of color. Although the text on the television tube feels "squished" in there.. as if there's no breathing room. For this particular design, I would lose the formal domain name, or at least reduce it's size to the point where it doesn't interfere with the flow of the rest of the design.
