Regard to the debate i have with the banned member you all love phoenix who is either have a new nick or visit the DP through proxies,in this thread months ago http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=513691 Bid directories can and is listed above normal directories in some competitive and descripitive keywords on Google. so for keyword european directory with about 8,480,000 results bidding directory have place 7 and the well known and very nice diretory ezilon.com ranks 9.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=european+directory&btnG=Search for keyword europe directory with 12,900,000 results bidding directory ranks 4 well established normal directory at 6th place. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=europe+directory and i believe there is more and should any bid directory owner to list in this thread. Just remember to be generaly for directories.
Bidding directory, normal directory or blog. I don't think the type of site makes a difference - just because it used a bid style doesn't affect its rankings. Its nice that you gained high SERPs, but whether a bid directory or not I don't think it matters.
Bid directories are great since because there is no sub categories so the chances of you gaining pr is high.
I think directories are more or less the same even though bid directories seem to be more effective..
Take a closer look then and browse the categories to see more sites listed in bidding directories. As we all know casinos sites have great profits thats why spent more and it is normal to have a big % of a homepage of a bidding directory.
Being a nosy old git I did go and look and to be honest all I really saw were casino affiliate sites and other bidding directories listed in them. I'm not putting down bidding directories, even though I don't like them, and I'd love to be proved wrong with a good selection of quality bidding directories with far more than just the above two related topics which might bring in a quick buck but they definitely won't long term.
I have open a thread sometme ago about the matter you are talking. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=749200 so as you can see there are some bidding directories with some rules for avoiding that but you are still talk generaly for all of them.
I'm responding to this thread not any other, show me a good number of quality bidding directories that aren't packed with links to sites packed with affiliate links to casino's and I'll be a happy man. There may be one or two about and now you've pointed out that there are some I'll take you up on this by asking you to post them here, shouldn't take you long.
Theres quite a few like mine that contain no casino links. The issue being however, is that they are made up for in numbers with other web directories that offer little value to end users - unless its webmasters looking for more directories.
I have open this thread for Bidding Directories serps so i believe this thread is not so revelant to talk about this matter but ther other thread is more revelant, dont u think??
Why not? Serps is all about achieving a high level in search engines for certain keyword searches, to gain a top 10 placement is a great achievement, but it isn't if the top 10 placement is for a poor quality service or product, it just shows how flawed the search engine algorithms are. Of course, in the case of bidding directories and their position in Serps this is still open to debate which is why I asked you to provide me with evidence of bidding directories with real quality content not just the link farms for affiliate casinos and PR chasers. By providing these examples which I'm sure you will, or hoping anyway, we will then see if Serps is based on quality not keyword manipulation. looking forward to your list.
I also have no casino sites in my bidding directory. Because otherwise you get more casino sites, then something else. And that's not my goal. Jason
I wish you well Jason but you only have about a 100 links in your directory and 90% of them are other directories, is it a new directory?
I've tried to keep casino (not gambling) sites out of the directories. Makes sense that bidding directories are the most popular in bid directories, but I do have forums, e-shops and training schemes on my bid directory
As the previous posters say just look on their signatures. There is not of 50% on the homepage of them casino sites. Also check my country categories to see also that.I have a recent atack from casino sites in my homepage and i figure ut that 50% on any page wont be the same theme links.I am not going to research for you every directory to see the percent of casino litings but you have allready 4 bidding directories to search and give us the percent of casino sites or directories sites that is been listed on them. Not the homepage but the entire directory.Happy research then,we wait your search results.
And as I said, I have! Take Rhys' site for example What's http://www.bid-directory-uk.co.uk/health_beauty/ listing a German Flirt site for? That is a perfect example of poor directory management. Don't these bidding directories bother checking who goes where and that they should be going in their relevant areas? Your ducking the challenge scoobby because you know I'm right and will make you look a complete prat. If you really want me to demonstrate how poor MOST, (Not all) bidding directories are I will, but your way up there as having one of the worst. Come on Scoobby To add your site add a link and get listed immediately. says it all really. Quick buck crew comes to mind.
