How many Guatemalan children should we let gay people buy so that we can thoroughly study it?

So, you're saying you have no evidence, it's just an unfounded statement; right?

Lmao. Damn Evil Homo Child Adopter Pseudo Parents! Destroying the taxation system!

I'm ok with homosexuals, but I have a serious problem with vegetarians. We need a constitutional amendment against vegetarian marriage.

Forget Vegetarian adoption too. The Bible warned us about you people!

That is awesome Bogart! Brilliant debate strategy!

Propose something so ridiculous and outlandish, that when someone calls you on it, ask them how much evil they should encourage to study your unfounded claims.

It's so Orwellian, it's almost worthy of Bush 43.

Problem is so many act like children are a 'right' or something, compare them with goods that can be purchased, when in fact they are not.

Maybe it takes being a parent, IDK

That doesn't surprise me. We live in an entitlement society. Someone was arguing with me the other day that affordable airfares are a right the government should intervene to protect...

Where does it end? I guess if you have a lobbyist, then you can get anything made into a right...

No adoption is not 'natural' however the reason some straight couples can not have children is for health reasons, not because the way they are 'not related' to health makes it so they CAN NOT have children.

I love this every time someone tries to debate this, they bring up the 'but what if someone is sterile, but a woman can not have a child, etc, etc.' This is a health problem, it sets them up so easily that either they have to say that yes being Gay is a health condition or they simply have no point.

It's always amusing to see which way they take. Stox of course fumbled over and over 'but, but, but, but'

I will say it yet again, I have NO problems with gay people. I also am certain some gay couples could make better parents than straight couples. This however is not and should not be the determining factor, 'as there is really no true way to know' physically 'and not because of health reasons' they can not have children 'a guy with a guy a woman with a woman' the way they are makes them the exact opposite of being able to have children.

    Open and shut case IMHO

Fine, as long as you don't eat me, you carnivore! Haha...

My opinion, is adoption has nothing to do with conceiving and giving birth, so why try to make them the same issue?

Jim Carey is straight; it's funny how people see a guy in a tu-tu and think of a gay person immediatly... Oh how hollywood has killed American brain cells...

It's grims chosen method of disguising his homophobia. He tries to make out that it isn't their homosexuality that is the barrier, it's something else. Funny how this "something else" is never a barrier when it comes to straight couples adopting.

Marriage is a contract between two people. It wouldn't be right for me to say you cant sell your home to person A, so why would it be right for me to say you can't marry that same person.

I disagree. It's hardly an open and shut case. Wouldn't you rather a child go to a caring and loving home (even if the parents adopting the child are gay) than let them be without parents to love and nurture them?

As I mentioned in my previous post, adoption should have NOTHING to do with the adopting couple's sexual orientation. It's a matter of giving a proper life to a deserving child, NOT whether you get it on with the same sex.

Oh please Stox. I have no homophobia, if anything I'm one of the few here chanting for gays to continue to be proud for who they are which equals not being able to have children.

Sorry if you can't come up with a good argument. ;)

You have yet to show how the 'something else' is the same, or are you saying being gay is a medical condition? That is the ONLY way you can make that argument.

Come on Stox, step up to the plate and show your true bigotry and call being gay a medical condition that can be treated.

Having children on any level is not capable of being done by gays. Adoption is necessary, it however should not be a method for people who can not have children by there very being 'NOT A HEALTH CONDITION' to have their cake and eat it to.

This issue is one btw that will turn many people including me from supporting gays 100%, to fully NOT supporting them.

I'd prefer people who talk about being so proud about who they are all the time practice what they preach and understand they can not have kids. Pretty simple really.

Having children has EVERYTHING to do with your sexual orientation, like it or not..

The reason you gave for your opposition to them being able to adopt and bring a child out of an orphanage is, And i quote, That they should understand they "CAN NOT have children and deal with it". An argument that is obviously flawed an ill-founded as gay people aren't the only people who "CAN NOT have children".

That line of reasoning falls flat on it's face when the same criteria is applied to every other person who "CAN NOT have children" and yet should be, according to you, Allowed to adopt.

You don't have to be a genius (which is handy for you) to see that it isn't their inability to reproduce that you feel disqualifies them from adopting, it's their homosexuality. Face it, You have no other reason for excluding them other than the fact that they happen to be gay.

No Stox, you bought it hook line and sinker.

Health conditions are TOTALLY different than the reason gays can not have children. That's like saying someone has a bad heart and should deal with it.

You have NO argument unless you claim gays have a health condition. This has been explained to you over and over and over again, yet you still claim it's the same as straight couples, which it obviously is not.

    ---
No other reason than they happen to be gay? Stox gay = not being able to have children, WTF do you not get about this?

all you are doing now is introducing qualifiers to justify your homophobic views. First it was people who "can not have children" who should be legally prevented from adopting, And now you have refined it to people who can't have children for a reason which isn't a medical condition, just so you can carry on pretending you have valid reasons for being against gay adoption.

You refine your reason every time that reason is shown to be valid for straight couples too. What about women who just don't want to go through pregnancy or labour? Should they be prevented from adopting?

the sad (and disgusting) thing is, At no point have you once even considered the children who could be taken out of orphanages. You are too busy making this absurd case that because gay people can have children they should "deal with it". Well maybe it shouldn't be about gays "dealing with it", Maybe it should be about taking a kid out of an orphanage and giving them a bit of a better start.

No Stox, I put it out there for you to bite, of which you did.

A health condition can be treated, or if not many are being worked on being treated.

A health condition is totally different than being gay. How you can not admit this is truly amazing.

What puzzles me is you're so pro gay you claim, yet you don't want them to be proud of being gay. Or do you think anyone should be proud of who they are, only up to the limit when it hampers them.

Ahh yes the children in the orphanage, yet so many straight couples wait for YEARS to get them themselves.

The reason has NEVER been shown to be valid for straight couples, wow Stox you are simply a fucking idiot. How can you not comprehend the difference from health conditions to simply not being able to have children because of WHO YOU ARE is beyond me.

Yet you 'think' and I use that term very loosely here, that you are intelligent.

I have no problems with gays getting married, The only problem i have is when they adopt kids. Its just natural for a kid to have a father and a mother. Especially in this day and age having gay parents doesn't make you the coolest kid in school. And if Gays understood what they would be putting there kids through, physically amd mentally then hopefully there smart enough to know that its not good for the child.

Of course a health condition is different than being gay. You said the reason they shouldn't adopt is because they can't have children and that they should deal with it. Is that a flawed reason or not? Feel free to retract it and refine it further to make it exclusive to gays.
