If I'm honest, I think Sitepoint is the more "professional" site, if I was a really successful webmaster, making lots of money etc then I think I would spend more time over there than DP.
Sitepoint makes 100 times more money than DP , they have their own development team. I sold one site of mine to sitepoint.com 5 years back.
for selling sites SP is a better option as big players are there whereas for the rest DP is awesome...
Both are good and different. One is a forum and the other one a website. But I like better DigitalPoint because of the community.
I prefer the DP forum but SP marketplace is pretty ace. DP has a better community feel to me, as theres more laughs and jokes here and the members are familiar with each other.
I think that Digitalpoint is busier, and much better if you want to ask for advice or swap ideas. I prefer the trade section on Sitepoint - as a buyer you know people are serious if they're selling on there, and as a seller you seem to get a better price.
Dp is a much better community. Sitepoint is a more developed marketplace/contest place/ technical guides and articles. They are not comparable, and they definitely both rock.
Sitepoint is full of scammers though. The lack of itrader rating empowers scams. I heard they will add trade history in their next close comming update.
This is such a stupid question. Obviously, if you ask a bunch DP members which forum they like best, they're going to say DP. If you posed the same question to SP members, they would all pick SP. That's why this is all so stupid. Dale King
