    Hi,

I recently set up this blog -
    http://lets-make-some-money-online.blogspot.com/

and I am on a very limited budget i.e. im trying to market it with completely free methods. I can't seem to get any more traffic than about 5 - 15 hits a day :(

Im looking to make a bit of money from this free blog so that I can then invest it in bigger projects. What can I do to increase traffic? Any help will be much appreciated - thanx!!

Submit to as many directories as you can. It takes time, but if you want to do it for free you're gonna have to do some work. Try using DP's search function and search for 'submit directory' and that should get you started. hope this helps.

Techilli there are many trafgic generation techniques, some of the most powerfull free techniques include Social Bookmarking and Directory Submission. It takes time but it will sure show results in the long run. I advise you read some of the top blogs in this niche, you`ll sure learn some good things from them. Good Luck

Your biggest challenge is..THERE ARE 100's of "Make Money Online" BLOGS ON THE WEB.
I don't see what you can do to rise to the top on a limited budget.

I am afraid, not withstanding some very unique ideas, content, and some real life applications based on experience and knowledge..there is no practical way that you can overcome the sheer numbers of blogs just like yours without opening up your wallet.

Just by the very nature of your question, and the fact that you admit that you are on a limited budget, screams that you have not actually made any money online, and you are attempting to rise to the top of a saturated niche' with no real experience on how to do it.
IOW, you are trying to fake your way to the top.

You may not want to hear this, but....IT CANNOT BE DONE. Especially not for free.

I see you've already been banned by AdSense. That's the number 1 way of making money online.

OP, I'll go with what Hmansfield posted or you can join a ton of forums and post all day and night with your site in your signature and PRAY for traffic. Have you thought about targeting something that is not flooded yet?

CountryBoy, how can you tell if someone is banned by Adsense?

Elementary my dear FHI: You don't suppose he'd be using Bidvertiser if AdSense was an option? I know I wouldn't!

Thanks for the reply I knew someone would point this out and I agree it is a very valid point but the main reason I started a blog about making money on the internet was because that is what I have been trying to do for the last 6 months (to some success with bum marketing) and I have found out so much about it, I might as well write about it.

I will maybe try and set some other niche blogs that I can write about, but thanks for the info.

Yeah Chill, if you are in a niche market you should have some knowledge and experience. Remember this is about trust to some extent.
    And don't underestimate writing well.

Digg works well, if you have the right kind of posts. Good luck!

Try MyBlogLog.com, at least there you can find people who are in the same boat as you are and get them to see you. It is worth a try if nothing else is working. Best of luck

First, you are a the right place to start here at Digital Point. Second is to Submit to as many directories as you can, lot's of them are free, but it takes time to do this. third I say create a myspace profile and use it to promote your site!!!

    Good Luck

Agreed. Wait... is this dejavu? lol... but to correct you, there are probably thousands, not hundreds... :p

But if you are really convinced that you will make money off this blog of yours... you can build traffic from various social media sites, blogging forums, and definitely build your community by commenting on other blogs.

Let me know if you need more help... but like it was mentioned, it's a tough crowd and you don't have much creditibility so people won't really believe you when it comes to "making money online." You'll probably have more success in a different niche.

Try digg if you think your content is original and interesting, but try to make some friends there first, it's very hard to get your story on the front page (or even in the upcoming section) without them. StumbleUpon also works.

I just re-read your initial post......its interesting that you are asking on how to get more traffic.....yet you have posts on the blog showing how to get more traffic? Did you not follow your own advise?

Or did you just copy & paste those articles from anothe MMO site just to get some content going.....???
    hmmmmm......?
