I guess they really hated Internet technologies such as youtube, in the good old days they can just keep quiet and let the storm pass, with youtube, what you had said previously will always be there.

Cramer is a shill. His job is to shill. That's what he does. He helps dealers market their products.

I don't think people take endorsements in infomercials seriously, Cramer's show is like a hopped up Stock Market Infomercial.

You're right, he probably couldn't have known. What bothers me is he seems to be trying to back peddle. Maybe that question was in regards to whether you should be getting your money out of Bear Stearns the institution and not the stock. But I watched that episode that day and I sure thought he was talking about the stock.

It might be good to buy commodities on the dip, or at least some commodities. Guy Adami from Fast Money today recommended buying agriculture on the dip.

Yeas back when i was a daytrader there was something called " the cramer effect". All the daytraders would have their finger ready to click that buy button on the featured stock and as soon as he talked about it , the stock started rising, and as soon as he was finished with it the stock started tanking. While the daytraders got in and out of it, the regular herd
that bought it at its peaks found themselves down up to 50% in 15 minutes lol. It was all a hype job lol.

    Gold / Silver Stocks: AUY (-4.70%), DGP(etf) (-5.15%), SLW (-6.00%), SLV(etf) (-6.55%) , ABX (-4.66%), NEM (-5.28%), FCX (-2.51%), GG (-2.69%), AEM (-1.83%), DZZ (inverse etf; gold down, this up) (+4.32%)

    Ag Stocks: POT (-.31%), MON (-3.02%), MOS (-5.24%), DE (-1.86%), CNH (-3.92%), BG (-1.0%), GRU(etf) (-5.10%), DBA (-5.21%)

    Oil Stocks: RDS.A (-2.20%), XOM (-.10%), COP (-.30%), PBR (-2.90%), SU (-2.97%), PZE (-2.78%), SNP (-4.80%)

Other Material Stocks: DOW (-.33%), AA (-2.84%), DD (-.59%)

SMN (UltraShort Basic Materials ETF) +3.50%
DUG (UltraShort Oil and Gas ETF) +1.20%

These stocks, all related to commodities whether it be metals, agriculture(wheat, corn, etc.), or oil and they are all down while the market is in the green. Gold has had like an 8% haircut in the past two days, and oil is just dropping.

UPDATE: I don't know if I explained why in my last post, but hedge funds are selling all these commodity stocks that they retardedly piled into one after the other like lemmings. Now they have to unwind because clearing houses are demanding that less leverage be used by hedge funds. They used commodities and commodity-related stocks to "hedge" the dollar. They are also short the dollar so they have to unwind those positions too, in turn making the dollar a little stronger for now.

A handful of the above stocks and some financial-tards like LEH amd WM. I covered all of my LEH short Monday and then sold it short again today. I've been shot WM for a while waiting for it to die.

Hedge funds are profit taking / deleveraging right now, but aren't the commodities still in good shape fundamentally ? Especially companies like Potash that have a near monopoly on potash?

Commodities might not be the best short position, but they are still a great long position.

I'm not playing this long term, market is far too volatile.

Plus: Fundamentally? It is all speculation to make some money against inflation. Hedge funds are getting out of the commodities and currencies causing the dollar to strengthen and commodities to weaken.

Oh, and I bought all my shares back that I shorted in the "commodity" area, but I didn't sell the ETFs I bought. I don't want them things over a long weekend. I hate LEH. My short LEH position blew up, but she'll be back in the $20's before you know it and I'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

    Plus #2:
Guy Adami? Wtf? The only one on that show with a brain is Macke.

That's what I meant when I said fundamentally. I wasn't talking about balance sheet type of fundamentals. I mean, nothing has really changed about the dollar that makes commodities any weaker. The commodity players probably just wanted to grease their pockets a bit and pay off some debt.

Well, Adami's Starbucks(SBUX) trade didn't work today. And I wish I would of bought Nike(NKE) a few days ago when Macke recommended it. So I can't argue.

Will the merger with xm radio be the thing that will boost siri stock up? Who will benefit most, siri or xmrc shareholders? I wish i had the time to analyze this merger further.

Sirius will benefit most from the merger. Of course theyve been waiting over a year for this to happen and theres also been many other times they have got all the paperwork out but no merger.

Mel the CEO of sirius said he will sue the FCC if they do not make a decision of yes or no by the end of this month (could wait a little after for all the work to go through)

Clear channel has paid the FCC (senetors) a ton of money to hold it off for this long now. Sirius and XM have also paid them to lobby. I think the time is now REALLLY close :)

    http://www.fcc.gov/transaction/xm-sirius.html#timeline
Lets also say the decline it somehow, there still a good stock which will last. Its still a good price!

    I recommend http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=HCP
    (HCP) Right now...

Also to buy (AUY) when its under $15 :D

I looked at HCP, all I like is it's dividend. I just don't want to get into any "real estate" plays, even if they deal only with medical centers and such.
