Question regarding placement targeting option

    Hello Friends,

    I am new in Google Adwords and having few questions. Can you give me your inputs please?

    1. Is placement-targeted option really working?
    2. I have targeted few locations for my client site. Are those ads appearance on targeted locations?
    3. Are ads dependent on bids? I mean to say if I bid $0.50 for particular placement and someone bid $1.00 for the same place then my ads would be appearance OR not?

    Let me know if I missed any thing else which you want to tell me for especially for Placement Targeting

    1. Yes, if done right.
    2. Yes, based on visitors IP.
    3. First you need a good CTR. Start with higher bids in order to start your ads and get clicks. If OK, you can lower your bids. If not, increase a little bit just to let google start impressions.

    Site targeting is good but it's a lower amount of traffic. You'd think that being more targeted it would convert more but it doesn't really.
