I won't pass any message to the Chinese people, they will not listen. In their minds, the Opium Wars and the lost of land to French, UK etc as well as the humiliating wars during World War II makes it very difficult to talk to Chinese about any territorial concessions. Margaret Thatcher tried, it turned out that the Iron Lady was nearly molten by the experience. Their minds are set on territorial integrity, there is no use trying to change that. I would rather concentrate my efforts on the Tibetan youths.
You must be clearer in your message, not buy American companies like P&G, Coca Cola, Johnson and Johnson but buy Made in USA products.....
LOL, Ok you guys are funny. I think I have the first and last lines, both Mao quotes, having trouble with what to put in between though. So far just have 1 paragraph. Thoughts please? "Let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred schools of thought contend" The great strength of china has always been its vast diversity and resiliance. From the mountains to the deserts, from the rice fields to the ocean, china is a land of contrast and diversity, celebration of this diversity and the strengh to accept a regions autonomy and cultural contribution are the cornerstones of a great and strong nation. To accept a hundred viewpoints without fear is the sign of a wise man. "The differences between friends cannot but reinforce their friendship"
Take2 "Let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred schools of thought contend" The great strength of china has always been its vast diversity and resiliance. To accept a hundred viewpoints without fear is the sign of a wisdom and everyone in our land should have the right to speak and to say what they believe to be true. A strong and wise government has no fear at the voice of the people and will hear that voice, will represent that people and will accept the differences that must occur in any great and vast nation. From Tibet to Taiwan these differences must be embraced if China is to be truely one. "The differences between friends cannot but reinforce their friendship"
Yes,everyone like freedom, however,I do not think that Chinese people agree Dalai Lama on spliting the country. Wisdomtool have a wiser point, compare to Margaret Thatcher,Dalai Lama really not any respectable adversary to the Chinese government.Let's hope that the Chinese government kind to Tibetans and give Tibetans more freedoms, respect and welfare. Let's pray for the Tibetans, may God bless Tibetans.
Seriously, I think the majority of the people making a comment or supporting free tibet right now, should just shut up for a bit. And do some research before the continue on. China has human rights issues, yes, but not just in tibet it's all throughout china or mabye majority of asia too. It's changing. For example selling people's organs and stuff like that. It is not the government kidnapping people and doing it, it's them having the lack of ability to control these things. A lot of it is to do with corruption in system which is extremely difficult to much about it right now. The thing is a lot of official has lots of power but they get paid way too little. Anyways getting back on track. I don't support Tibet dividing off. Does someone want to give me maybe good reason? Cause of human rights? Like I don't see the rest of china trying to divide off. Look at Hong Kong their fine and happy. If people would be protesting something else regarding human rights, I will most likely be supporting it but not Tibet Independance. Just like I don't support Quebec being seperate! It's part of Canada.
