I would say they are all pretty SEO friendly. Go with the one that suits you and your directory best.

It really depends on your needs. You should go to the different sites, evaluate the features each has based on what you want your directory to do and make a decision that way.

as the guys said there is not best and worse it all depends on ur preference and what works for you. most directory software have a free version available u might want to try their free version and see if u like any of them.

I'd agree with that 100% and even though it's my job to promote phpLynx I wouldn't say it is any better at SEO than any other just now as we are still undergoing case study on it.

Not only phpLD and Sitesift but there are also other like esydicate, indexscript etc. available. All are good to use (free and paid one) so go with one which suits you better and you can easily work with it.

I'm puzzled Don, newcomers rely on people like you to provide them with good sound advice but I've noticed you choose to avoid ever mentioning phpLynx but can mention far weaker scripts? Wouldn't it be better to be objective with your opinions or are your comments based on script you've used in the past? Or is it because your unaware of the features of phpLynx which after all has more features than any of the above you mention you haven't mentioned it?

We're here to help the OP as best we can aren't we?

@ a2bdir; that is excellent news, if you need support don't hesitate to ask, but preferably on our forum.

    you are misunderstanding,
v3.1 is better, v3.2 is good, but v3.3 is useless.
payment option was improved since v3.2,
but the article submission is really useless,
and phpld still don't support seo friendly URL for detail page officially.
personally I think phpld should more focus on the core of directory,
and the deep link feature is not included.
I don't know why maybe it related someone coding business...
all the features are really useful and necessary,
but the developers of v3.3 still not develope them,
    I was disappointed!
my new directory is v3.2, and I will not update to v3.3 after testing it.
    the market needs competitors now,
anyway I am still the fan of phpld at this moment.
