Hi all; I am doing some seo work on my website. Right now my services are limited so i am choosing meta tags keywords accordingly but within 1-2 months i am going to expand my services then I surely make changes in keywords and meta tags. I have to add and remove some keywords. My question is: Changes in the meta tags in very short period of time leaves a bad impression on the search engines...? If no: How frequently I could make changes in my meta tags and keywords...? If yes: I think I know the answer.... Thanks you all SEO Experts. Anuj.
My dear friend First and the foremost thing if you go with google then google is not taking in to consideration these meta tag keywords. yes google sometimes considers meta title and meta description but not always And about changing you can change it daily no problem but dont change meta title and meta description very frequently, you can change once a month. Finally about keyword words you should not change it when you have large number of backlinks on that page for the keyword you have entered in the page. you can change content regularly but taking into consideration 1) page title 2) backlink (if given with that particular keyword Cool mate and Enjoy your day
Hi, You can change meta tags no to worry about it, just keep in mind that your meta description must be relevant to your content. it will help a lot to improve search ranking.
Well......Meta tags are not so important and do not have even a little effect on rankings.......it just appears as a tiile and description in result pages for relavant query........

Why would you change them frequently? Just change them to what you want them then leave them there. The title and description should describe what that page is about, so unless your page is changing frequently I wouldnt change the meta tags.
I created a title tag and description tag targeting my current services but very soon I am going to launch or expand my services between 1-1.5 month so I have to again update or create both the tag including my new services. I just want to know that is this okay to change my title and description tag within 1 month....? Thanks; Anuj.
Anticipate the change and make the changes now. Also no it wont hurt if you change it every few months.
My dear friend title and meta tag tells about the page is so if you have made your title and meta according to the content of your page there is no need to change it. If you are going to expand your services along with your existing services add some more pages on your site and prepare your title and meta tag according to that. Put some quality content on that page.It will help you in indexing your page also
yati_yati, do not change your title and description tags often. It WILL cause your rankings to fluctuate. Just make sure your MAIN keyword is right at the beginning of your title tag. In your description tag, include it once or twice but make SURE that you use synonyms in your description which relates to your main keyword. That's bloody important. Oh, keywords meta tags is not that important anymore. They are useless actually. But it doesn't hurt to include them. I don't find them beneficial at all. I just focus on my TITLE, Description and on page content, site structure and inbound link. I said earlier that changing your title tag and description will cause your rankings to fluctuate. Now this fluctuation might happen for the better or the worse. You just have to make sure you keep an eye on which one brings better results. Also make sure that you create a seperate RSS feed which includes a link to your homepage. After you updated your title tag and description, submit that rss feed and ping it so it shows the change in Google within 24 hours. Cheers mate, R
Title is important for 'G' if your title is good then no need to change...otherwise fix it once or twice...no need to change regular basis.
I usually optimize my sites by adding keywords throughout these parts of the site. It is very effective as I have ranked high just with onpage optimization. Getting back links and offpage optimization will increase you further up the ranks but you can get up there just with these onpage factors.. Page Title Description Keywords Anchor Text of Images Header Tags H1, H2, H3 Bold, Italics, and underline of keywords throughout content. Link to all pages within your site. The with the Offpage optimization you need to get backlinks with the Anchor Text as your main keywords. Hope this helps..
