What content pays better with Adsense

    I'm sure this has already been covered in previous threads but couldn't find them.
    So pardon me if I start a useless thread.

    My experience, working in Italy on sites in italian is the following:
    Medical - pays very well
    Travel pays well
    Recipes and cooking pays well
    Sports (extreme sports, MTB, Snowboard, Kitesurf) pays average
    Culture generally pays bad

    This comes out from a partial experience (2 years) with about 10 sites that we are monetizing with Adsense.
    What is the experience of others, on the American (or english speaking) world?

    NOWADAYS YOU WON'T GET ENOUGH CLICKS IN MESOTHELIOMA. Auto Insurance and health are really a big boon to the webmasters...:)

    Niches related to medicine / finance / real estate usually have high CPCs But they have a lot of competition as well :)

    Health $0.13 CTR 4.07
    Recipes $0.09 CTR 2.10
    Sports $0.08 CTR 1.01
    Travel $0.10 CTR 11.97

    The first value is the total revenue/number of clics.

    How you judge this compared to average values on american market.

    The niches that would pay the most are the ones where leads to advertisers are big payoffs, so there would be high competition for those keywords so advertisers bid very high.
