    Ive heard a lot of people say that paid links will kill your site in search engine result pages and since text link ads is a form of paid links, i was wondering if putting them on my site would hurt it?

    thanks!

    If you put paid links on your site and someone reports you to google it will definitely hurt you.

    It's ok to put paid links on your site but you have to add rel="nofollow" in every link.

    if you sell it easy to get punished if you buy I'm not so sure because it's easy for your competitors to buy you some cheap links and then report you

    it doesnt matter if its paid or a link exchange..the problem is keeping a link dofollow which according to them causes faulty search engine results as de anchor text in the link are inaccurate keywords which would result in the link showing up for that keyword in the search engine thus causing faulty search results..

    You can have link on your site but keep remember.

    Do not put tag line "buy link", "sponsored ads", "sponsored link", "advertise here", some of these words help Google to identify the link sellers.

    From what i read from the above discussion i feel any link that is dofollow is considered as paid link no matter its a paid or a link exchange.

    Correct me if i got something wrong.

    use nofollow tags for your outgoing links, this way you will not pass any PR to text link ads and google will not penalize your site.

    rel="nofollow" Will help you !!

    Google is against Links which pass PR not against Paid Links !! Now If you have a website having Computer Related content and you showing Penix Enlargment Ads then no dobt its PaidLink bought so as to gain some PR !!
