    Hey there!

Very simple question, is it legal for me to run both adsense and adengage on my website?

You can see how it look likes here, http://peecee.dk/upload/view/104453

    Thanks,

I think it is legal as long as it is clear what is an adsense ads and a adengage ad.

Well, you won't get arrested for it, so I'm pretty sure it's not against the law.

However, Google clearly states in it's Program Policies that it can be the only PPC advertiser on the page. I'm pretty sure it's against Google's Program Policies, but definitely legal...:p

Big difference between illegal and against Program Policies.

Anyway, here it is in their words:

"In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads."

    Haha tomato tomaato. :p

Hmm i just don't get it. This is copypasted for another thread here at dp:

Looking at this then it's like what Camay123 said.

    I'm confused?! :)

You're right, but adengage is very similar to adsense in the way they present ads. I guess if they were of different backgrounds and colors, it would be OK. I don't do it, though.

I personally think it's better to go with one or the other anyway. Whatever makes more per click, use that one and give all the clicks to it.

It is legal, however, It might not be OK with Adsense.

Well i get it, that legal wasn't the right word. So ofcourse the question is, is it against adsense program policies to run adengage and adsense together?

There must be someone who has tried it or something like that - who knows the exact answer to this question.

For such questions, you should contact the Adsense team. This way if they do ban you, their word will reinstate you, somebody's word on DP won't.

I actually just contacted the adsense team. They said it was okay the way i had placed it here.
So that's good. They wrote that as long as you used different colors, and seperated the ads with a frame then there shouldn't be any problems.

Yeah its fine to have two or more advertisers (As long as your website isnt entirely adverts) but you do have to make sure they are obviously from different people. I tend to use google as blended ads, adengage with small pics and text besides as a rather striking advert, then amazon advertising related products.

Check it out with the Adsense team - that way if there is a problem and you have consulted with them then your backside is covered
