I c so many discussion here saying that their PP / MB n even EG got blocked or limited. What I want to know is that is there some good online sources where we can file a legal petition against these biggies? Something g really good, where at least our voice gets heard, n if we have sufficient proof to back up the authenticity of our ac, we can expect some kind of attention from this processors. ???
What would be the point of creating a petition? Accounts can become limited/blocked at any moment if a payment processor suspects unusual activity. It is also in many of their ToS that also states so.
Don't think that taking legal action against PayPal will be easy, they have figured this all out in advance to have the upper hand and so that they are able to treat their customers as dogs. If you lose you will have to pay the costs of their lawyers, if you win, lucky you.
Well, what i want to say is that is there some online consumer forum for these kind of petition - a well known one.. where we can at least raise our voice. And don't think its easy to 'prove' that the sources of funds r illegal/suspicious. Also this is not the only thing that I am talking abt, sometime we do submit the necessary docs asked by them but they still don't unlock our ac, and also don't care give us rel event reason for it. I am talking abt all those things ...
They don't have to need to prove at first that something is illegal or suspicious. Your account can be monitored or even limited if deemed necessary. If after you have done every action to remove limitations and your account still hasn't returned to normal, then you should contact them via a phone call.
All that is fine, but we expect them to be professional, this is online world, email should be good enough for communication, if the docs have been submitted, there should be no need for the 'phone call' .. also remember that most of the non US / English speaking ppl shy of speaking on phone. I am not talking abt payment processors only, i m talking in general.. this is a big online world, dont we have something like report-your-problem-here-n-we-will-fwd-it-to-the-concerned- for-counter-check-n-explanation thingy
Well, there is nothing in Paypal which says that you need to call them for anything. They do not expose their phone number and rather communicate via email and online ticketing system. I believe this allows them to keep an audit trail (history) of all the communications between you and them. Calling them is your personal choice and not the prescribed means. However some people like to talk to real people so calling them allows them to find out where they are in the queue instead of having to wait for the ticket to be up. So don't get them wrong, you can go by without calling them because I've been with paypal for over 2 years now and I have never called them and they have never called me. Everything was done via online ticket and the average response time is between a few hours to a few days. I just do not want you to confuse what people do here as opposed as what should be done. You are right when you say that if they require you to submit documents, you either fax them or upload them and then just wait for a response.
Bro, what I was tryno say is that is we do the needful n still, the ac in not locked , is there anyway we can appeal for that ? any reputed online forum where if we file a petition , n that it has some kinda impact on these processors n they care to explain things better to us reg the status of ac.. rather then just ignoring n delaying the process when we have already done what is being asked ...
no man, u cant do anything with these payment processors, if u got limited/blocked then u have to talk to them
I believe when you submit the documentations, they will need to verify that what you have provided is real and not photoshopped or fake documents like some of the DP recommends that one should do. Besides, remember that you are not the only one in the queue, there are probably thousands of people waiting in line to get their documents checked out. How long have you been waiting anyways ? If you want to launch a class action or legal suit against them, make sure you have solid and concrete evidences in terms of their wrongdoings especially if it violates their own legal agreement.
hmm.. like 3 months ..i got a routine locked ac msg n was asked to submit docs, i did that.. n would u believe it what did they replied ? they asked me to wait till all the other ppl who send or recd funds from me thru that ac verify their ac !
A class action would be one of the last things I would recommend, unless you are some sort of an activist and not earning a living. Just go through Paypal procedures and you will be alright.
