221,000 impressions 490 clicks and only 105.60 usd? That’s what I made so far from all those impressions... what are your thoughts is this considered poor?

Your click through rate is pretty bad. But, your profit per click is pretty good. But, I'm sure you already knew that.

    40c / click that's awesome

Anyway some niches have low ctr so the only answer is to get more traffic

traffic... isn't that the answer to all questions LOL

I didn't look at it like that w3b! 40 cents a click is very good! your also right about the niche, I have a very specific niche!

    Good point rep added!

Maybe the bidding is too low for your site.

Easy - now you just need to improve your click-through rate. :) This is something you can easily do from your own end. It doesn't even necessarily entail moving the ads - just change the colors, backgrounds, etc. Tweak things and see what happens - experiment! :) Also, maybe using only text ads would work better?

On your "yoursourceforinfo" site, you only had one small Adsense block at the top of the page where it is easily overlooked. Use more blocks (up to three) integrated closer in with the content.

Another problem is that your site is about, as you say, "anything and everything on the net." With a site that is in a blog format and not tighly focused on a specific topic, Google will have a very difficult time presenting relevant ads. Most of the ads will be about something fairly generic like "web hosting" which will have limited interest to your visitors.

You also have a forum, with no Adsense ads. Even with ads, forums tend to do poorly with Adsense. Forum visitors tend to be repeat visitors who become "ad blind" after a few visits. And technical sites are particularly troublesome because technical visitors tend not to click ads.

In short, your site's poor Adsense performance is understandable. It can be improved with more ads and better ad placement, but you'll have to work hard to counter the inherent difficulties of "blog" type sites, technical sites, and forums.

DUDE THAT'S AWESOME. Don't feel bad.

I get about $20 for 490 clicks. You're doing wayyyy better than you think.

Although, you should look into ways of increasing your CTR. It's pretty bad.
