Register your site in google analytics and track your traffic sources. It will help you to analyse the traffic and keyword ranking also.

Yes, i know that; but which tool?

Like I want to track down my website position for
    Keyword: "Dating Events"
    At: google.com
    My Website: www.vybelist.com

This time i have done that manually, typed the keywords in search box. Then i moved from page 1 - 4, and keep on looking for my website; then i got my website positioned at 33 position.

Now i am trying to get a solution, so that i can track down that with minimal efforts.

Digital Point provides a tracking tool using Google APIs. Although they stopped issuing them in 2004 (I think), If you can get hold of one it will search all of your keywords and provide the ranking of each.

    Have a look at http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/

I use free http://www.webceo.com/download/ software. It pretty confusing at first but take your time to learn to use it because it could help you check on the ranking for Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask for the top 1000.

There are a good few websites that quickly find your google ranking.
All you do is put in your FULL URL and your key word.

Do a google search for "how to find my google rank"

    Hope this helps.

Hi Now i have tested the software.
    So here is my review.....
This one is not even 80% correct, I have my website at 39 for "Dating Events", i have checked that manually. But when i automated the process with the help this software; it works good but didnt produced good and accurate results.

    I dont recommend that.

You need a Googleâ„¢ SOAP API Key ( Googleâ„¢ Web Search API Key ) to use this tool and to check how your domain ranks in Googleâ„¢. As of the 5th of December 2006, Googleâ„¢ stopped issuing new SOAP API Keys. And i dont have API KEY rite now.

I also will suggest to use WebCEO, as with it you can enter the keywords you want to monitor and then automatically get reports about how they are doing. So you just need to set the ranking tool and scheduler (if you want automatically run the tool) once. And you will see not only your positions for the keywords, but also the history of changes, so you can analyze the reasons of changes.

Good luck in tracking your positions!

Yes, thats fine; this is a good software.
But the main concern is; how reliable is this. I have tested this and have doubts on outputs.

I have tried "Dating event" keywords for my website, manually i was able to get my website at google at 77 position, but WEBSCO was unable to track that down.

Is your WebCEO KnowledgeBase up to date?

I too was afraid to believe any software blindly, so I compared WebCEO data to the one I get manually. Sometimes there were some differences, but very slight. I think the reason lies in different Google databases.

I think this uncertainty can be ignored. Time spent to check positions manually is soooo great that I prefer to sacrifice some precision. Also my visitors came from different country so the use different databases.
