question about signature and number of links

    Okay, I know this question is pretty lame but here goes.

    People are selling their signature links and saying they have X amount of posts. But what I don't get is the signature does not go back to the beginning. I notice the signature starts on the day you put the signature.

    So why say, you have so many posts. I always thought it meant the sig would be on the old posts, too. Really, the number of posts has nothing to do with how many posts you'll see the sig.

    So how does that work exactly - just wondering - one of those crazy questions when you have nothing else to do -lol

    well as long as you have 10 posts and been a member for 7 days you can have sigs so,
    most buyers assume -10 posts will be exact posts but then if one has many posts, being off by few posts would not matter

    When you change a link in your signature the change is automatically made to all of your posts that include a signature

    By the way, your question is not lame, that is how you learn

    I hear what you are saying but for instance on my sig. I only added it about a week or so ago but if you look at my old posts, there is no sig.
    How come?

    I guess that was the easier way to ask my question..........

    I am not selling my sig link but if I was I couldn't really say 232 posts bc the sig is not loading on all posts>

    EDIT - I posted at the same time as you kentucky so I'll add this - so what you mean I think is if I never had a sig before, it would stay blank BUT if I had placed a sig in the beginning, any sig would show on all posts?

    As has already been said the changes only take place on the posts where you had a signature enabled.

    the signature will appear on the 1st day you've actually added signature
    it will not change the "before sig 1st time" posts but will do so no later ones

    Correct. In the posts that you made without enabling your signature, it won't show.

    Also while making a post, you have an option to disable it for that particular post.

    People pay money for the backlinks from the signatures.The more post you have the more backlinks will be created from your signature,if you only have 300 posts right now and promise to create 50 posts a day,dpers will pay more than $3 per signature for you.So they care about how much you are going to post in the future.
