An advertiser worth his salt does not go by PR of a site. PR means nothing. He also doesn't go by Alexa. He wants to see YOUR log! He also doesn't care if your designs are unique. No offense, but so what?

I'm an advertiser, and I don't care about any of that either. I want to know how your site looks, how many unique hits you get, and where my ads are going to be placed. That's basically it.

For the number of hits you get, I would venture to guess that you should charge no more than $100 a month. If that! Maybe...$50 a month.

Break the numbers down: .5 to 2 percent of your visitors click on ads. And 2 percent is pushing it! Of those going to the site, 1-2 percent of them will buy. If that webmaster is selling, say, a $20 product, he can't and will not give you $500 a month.

Of course you could charge more than $100, but an advertiser who knows what he is doing won't give you much more than that, if even that.

Ah cool... thats straight from the heart :)

Anyway, so say you want to invest $500 dollar in one campaign, in one site and thats your budget as an advertiser, what exact things would you be looking for in the site? How many hits? How many uniques a day? Where would you want the 125x125 ads be placed? And like you said how many other advertisers are there, doesnt really matter to you right?

And what about the niche? Don't you agree that in my niche (provided that the products are all much higher priced than $20 since they should be of cell phones/accessories/or maybe themes/games/applications/software) the advertisers shouldn't be like you, who are selling cheaper products, either? No offense of course. :D

Ten isn't too much in a way, but if you can, dont increase the categories any more unless absolutely required to. Rather tag em, and assign them to any of the existing category! And thanks for advice yet again man!

Assuming that your statistics are correct... it's safe to charge your advertisers $50-$100 for 30 days advertisement.

You can get quite a large amount of money from that. Maybe in the $100-$400s/month.

Nice job with that website, if you land each block at $500/month, you've got $2000/month for doing nothing, basically!

Damn I am afraid to ask $200 for each 125x125 ads basically. One thing I can assure the advertisers is that there wont be any more ads except those 4 blocks at the top and one adsense text ad the very bottom of the last sidebar.

You think I will get advertisers if I charge $200 for each block?

Just got a new alexa rank and am officially under 100,000! 98,517 exactly! Alas I still couldnt set up my advertisements. lol.. sometimes I am just so lazy. Anyway, should this have any impact on the price of ads in the site? Anyone?

Instead of trying to price the adunit as total figure, you might want to think about it the traditional advertising term -CPM (cost per thousand impressions). Any advertiser will look for the CPM and will then compare your CPM with those of similar sites and similar audience sizes. Are there any sites within your space whose CPM ad rates you know of? You may be able to only charge $10 CPM, or maybe something as high as a $50 CPM. That all depends on what people are will to pay how you stack up vis-a-via similar sites.

I thought about that but it only made this situation confusing. With ten thou page views, a ten dollar cpm means charging them $3100 per month which is insane right? Lol. And Can't say that I know of. :-( weird I know! But its true. In terms of theme designing there are not much sites out there in my niche. But in terms of cell phones there are tons of sites out there right? But most sites, those having a similar stat, don't reveal their rates and those which do are way famous sites than mine.. Lol. Hence the monthly thingy.

As someone suggested, ADTOLL is the way to go. It will cost 25% of the collected monies, but it will free you from adsales questions.
